If you only get text
A text answer does not necessarily mean something is broken. The format adapts to the question, and availability can vary during rollout.
Check the experience
Use Chat rather than Work or Voice. The Pro reasoning option powered by GPT-6 Astra is unsupported; the supported reasoning range is Instant through Extra High.
Check the task and preferences
A definition may need only a paragraph. Try a task with a useful input change, and name the expected response. On the web, Personalization → Layout and Visuals → Simple reduces visual elements, though some can remain. Custom Instructions also guide style.
Check current access
The announcement describes gradual rollout, and Enterprise depends on admin settings. See current official documentation rather than treating our review date as a live account check.
Check state expectations
Some components can preserve state on refresh within the same thread. State does not carry across threads. Keep a separate record of important information.
Be specific about the boundary
We have not verified a standalone Intelligent UI API, export format, or supported embedding method. Our site demos illustrate interactions in your browser; they do not enable the ChatGPT feature. If a specific interaction fails, record the prompt, model option, and action before seeking help through ChatGPT’s own support channels.
